Tyne and Wear Archives and Museums is seeking to engage a provider who can support us initially for six months:

  • Development and improvement of our Office 365 estate (including SharePoint as an intranet)
  • Bespoke training of Office 365 programmes in line with how we use the systems as determined above

Following Microsoft’s decision to no longer provide free educational licences to museums, we are currently working with our software provider to find appropriate Office licences, and it is possible that we may need help with supporting staff through the migration if there are changes to functionality. We also anticipate a transfer to Windows 11 which may be within the timescales of this contract.

Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums is a publicly-funded, not-for-profit organisation seeking a cost-effective solution.

The successful candidate must be able to travel to our nine sites in Tyne and Wear.

Objectives

The successful provider will be responsible for:

  • Developing and improving TWAM's Office 365 estate, including SharePoint as an intranet
  • Delivering tailored Office 365 training to staff
  • Potentially assisting with staff migration due to licensing changes
  • Providing ongoing support for new starters and refresher training (potential opportunity)
