Fun for Under 5s

We have a variety of spaces and events for our smallest visitors.
There are dedicated spaces for under 5s to play and explore, as well as different events across our museums and galleries.

Dedicated play spaces for under 5s

The under 5s programme includes the following dedicated spaces: 

Tiny Tyneside

Explore and play around the themes of the museum with replica transport, inventions and bridges.

Mouse House 

The Mouse House gallery is full of surprises. Choose an activity from the walls to help you explore the rest of the museum.

Playspace 

Explore the den, play with toys and the light up table, dress up, read books and more in our circus themed playspace.

Under 5s Area

All aboard little ones. Kids can step into the role of a train guard, practicing signals, waving flags and even seeing their reflection as they mimic the guards on the wall.
