Heritage Walking Tours with Newcastle City Guides

We offer a fascinating programme of tours covering central Newcastle and Gateshead, as well as surrounding areas: Gosforth, Jesmond, North and South Tyneside, Sunderland and South East Northumberland.

Heritage walks are usually held on Sunday afternoons at 2.30pm and Wednesday afternoons/evenings from May to the beginning of November.

We recommend booking your tickets in advance. Bookings close at 5.30pm the day before the event. Tickets cost £7 per adult and £5 per concession (over 60s).

Season Tickets are available online or at the Laing Art Gallery gift shop.

Pre-booking online will guarantee your place but walk-ups will be available on the day, even if fully booked online. Cash only please.

If you are a season ticket holder you MUST bring it with you or you will be asked to pay.

Please note - assistance dogs only are allowed on our tours.

Many tours make use of uneven pavements and rough ground with occasional steps.

Each tour lasts about 90 minutes.

We try to stick to footpaths and use pedestrian crossings where available. Appropriate clothing and footwear is recommended.

If you have any pre-existing medical conditions or injuries that may affect you walking, please let your Guide know before the tour begins.

If you feel unwell during a walk, please let your Guide know.
