This Halloween, our train rides get an eerie upgrade — travel in a specially themed spooky carriage for a hauntingly fun experience. There'll be spooky entertainment from the theatre group, The Moss Troopers.

Spooky Museum Trail
Witches have been spotted flying around Discovery Museum collecting ingredients for their potions. They have left behind clues next to cauldrons around the galleries, can you explore the museum to find them?
Dress in your coolest creepy costume to stomp away to tunes like the Monster Mash at the Spooky Silent Disco. With three music channels to choose from, including Halloween tunes, families have two hours to dance around the terrifying Turbinia.

Little Artists Plus+ Spooky Special
This spooky special Little Artists session is held during the October half term holiday. Activities are still focused around kids age 1-5, but friends and siblings are welcome to participate.
Young people aged 7-12 years old can have the chance to work with Special Effects Make Up Artist and teacher Over the Winks and learn how to transform themselves in time for Halloween, in this special effects makeup session.
Pick up your trail sheet and then explore the museum and colliery buildings to try and find all the hidden pumpkins. Make your way to the Welcome desk with your completed trail sheet for a small sweet treat!
In the spirit of the season, you will be taught by a professional artist to create your own spooky Halloween mask, using collage and card.
