Donations Notice

Donations

All donations are made to North East Museums Development Trust (NEMDT), registered charity no. 1137867 and company limited by guarantee no. 7334262. 

 Unless stated otherwise, all donations help fund the running costs involved in the development, delivery, and maintenance of programmes, exhibitions, and events in the venue in which the donation was made. 

 

Contactless donations 

  1. All donations made via contactless are processed safely and securely by Goodbox. 

Payment method

Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Maestro, American Express 

2.5% + £0.20 per transaction


Transaction fees are calculated as follows: 

a) If a donor makes a £5 donation, after transaction fees NEMDT receives £4.68. 

b) If a donor makes a £10 donation, after transaction fees NEMDT receives £9.55. 

c) If a donor makes a £20 donation, after transaction fees NEMDT receives £19.30. 

 

Till donations 

  1. All donations made at the till, via Gift Shop or Cafe, are processed safely and securely by LightSpeed.

2. Transaction fees are calculated as follows: 

a) If a donor makes a £5 donation, after transaction fees NEMDT receives £4.50. 

b) If a donor makes a £10 donation, after transaction fees NEMDT receives £9. 

c) If a donor makes a £20 donation, after transaction fees NEMDT receives £18. 

 

Online donations 

  1. All donations made online are processed safely and securely by Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT.

2.79% + £0.20 per transaction

3.50% + £0.20 per transaction 


2. Transaction fees are calculated as follows: 

a) If a donor makes a £5 donation, after transaction fees NEMDT receives £4.66. 

b) If a donor makes a £10 donation, after transaction fees NEMDT receives £9.52. 

c) If a donor makes a £20 donation, after transaction fees NEMDT receives £19.24.
