Opening times
Monday – Friday, 10am – 5pm
Saturday, 10am – 4pm
Sunday, 11am – 4pm
Free entry (donations welcome). Last entry is 15 minutes before closing time.
Access to the museum via Claremont road is currently restricted due to a temporary road closure. The museum remains open and can be accessed on foot via the Hadrian Bridge at Newcastle University Library. We will provide an update when the road reopens.
For a quieter visit, we suggest coming after 2.30pm on weekdays or on Sundays. We also offer relaxed early openings on Wednesdays from 9-10am during summer school holidays.
