About
Join us at Woodhorn Museum on Saturday 24 October for a special performance by Backworth Male Choir, a 40-strong male voice choir with deep roots in North East mining heritage.
Based in North Shields, the choir is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, formed by a group of miners from Backworth Colliery. The camaraderie that brought those men together remains at the heart of the choir today, alongside a shared passion for singing, socialising and keeping the tradition of male voice singing alive.
Come along and enjoy the voices of this long-established local choir in the unique surroundings of Woodhorn Museum.'
