About

Heritage crafts: Learn to proggy

Discover how people of the past made the most of the materials available to them by reusing old textiles. Learn basic proggy mat making techniques and start your own sample piece to take home.

This workshop needs some manual dexterity and is good practice for fine motor skills.

Recommended age 6+

While you’re here, why not relax in our café with a hot drink and take part in free activities at our mini museum stations. Our bookable workshop prices are £4 per child per workshop (£6 with optional donation) and accompanying adults are free. Spaces are limited and children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Workshops will be led by members of our Learning Team.
