About

Join Liz, our Learning Officer at Woodhorn Museum and help us shape the future of our Home Education programme.

Hosted in our learning room (upstairs in the Cutter building), we’ll provide a selection of optional craft activities and chat with you about home education in a relaxed setting.

We're keen to find out about you and your child's interests and preferences with regards to home learning, how we can make things accessible to you and what sort of activities you would be interested in us putting on.  You can also use this opportunity to meet and network with other home-educating families.

Before or after the session (or both!) you are welcome to explore the museum. We have a lovely cafe, play area, indoor art galleries and Coal Town exhibition as well as original colliery buildings to explore from when the site was a working coal mine.

If you would like to find out about our access resources or take a virtual tour prior visit you can do that here: https://www.northeastmuseums.org.uk/woodhorn/visit/accessibility
