About

Created and performed by adults from Northumberland and the wider North East, this original contemporary dance work brings to life one of the remarkable paintings from the Ashington Group Collection at Woodhorn Museum.

Inspired by an artwork chosen by the participants themselves, the same collection that inspired Eliot Smith Dance's acclaimed production PITMAN — the performance celebrates the creativity, heritage, and artistic legacy of the Ashington Group through contemporary dance.

Join us for this free, one-off performance. Admission is free with a valid annual pass.

This project is supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England, with the kind permission of The Ashington Group Trustees, and with in-kind support from Woodhorn Museum and North East Museums.
