About
See Woodhorn’s collection in a new light with a trail created by our Collection volunteers - the Museum Marras.
Each volunteer has chosen an object and shared their own creative interpretation, uncovering stories of people, places and materials along the way.
Follow the trail through the museum to discover fresh perspectives on familiar objects and hear directly from the Marras about the pieces that inspired them.
Click here to find out more details about the Community of Coal project and to hear from each of the Marras themselves about their chosen objects.
This project was inspired and supported by Justine Boussard, founder of The Amateur Ancestor Project, who believes the key to flourishing futures is hiding in our common heritage.
The illustrations for each of the objects were created by Lizzie Lovejoy - an award-winning poet, performer and picturemaker.
