On 16 September 2025, Papua New Guinea celebrated their 50th Anniversary of Independence. To mark this important milestone, museums around the world are sharing their collections of cultural artefacts from the country.

‘WanBel’: a Tok Pisin phrase meaning community spirit, it literally means ‘one belly’.
