Please note that the first hour, 7—8pm, is time to explore the museum and get yourself one of our bespoke Valentine's themed drinks. We will start the music from 8pm.

This is a very special inaugural late night event, combining two much-loved cultural spaces in the North East. The Valentine's Treasure Ball is an opportunity to dress to impress in your sparkliest, most fabulous outfits and dance the night away to some feel-good dance tracks. We will transform our exhibition halls with sounds, sights, and scents to make you feel at home and ready to party.

This is an opportunity to celebrate love in every form and for you to spend time with the people you love in a space we all love!

The event is the first in a series of Treasure themed events to celebrate the museum's new exhibition ‘Treasure: Hidden, Lost, Found’, opening March 2026.
