Home Educators Workshop: Meet the Portable Antiquaries team

Time

11.10–11.55am

Price

Free, booking required.

Ages

Suitable for ages 7–14 (but we are aware EHE families come with children that are a range of ages, so get in touch with any questions).

Children will do listening and handle objects.

The Portable Antiquities Scheme (PAS) is dedicated to recording artefacts found by members of the public so that future generations can learn about discoveries being made today. This can include anything from bits of pottery found in fields to hoards of ancient coins! Finds Liaison Officers are also the first person to contact when Treasure is found...!

Meet Caroline and Rosie, the PAS team, find out more about their role, and get close to some of the objects in their handling collection.
