About

This is an opportunity to explore the treasures of the scent world as part of our 2026 treasure programme.

Scents and perfume are so important to how we function as human beings, and capturing your signature scent in a perfume gives people a certain sense of identity and well-being.

Michele Riveroll founded Scentica Studio in 2020 and allows people to connect to themselves and nature through scent. We have worked with Michele on a number of events, exploring ancient scents with our museum audiences, and now we bring you the very exciting opportunity to create your own bespoke perfume, using some of the finest and rare scents available.

In the workshop, we will explore a wide variety of perfume ingredients, covering all the fragrance families, and learning the principles of perfumery. We will explore the origins of the ingredients and their history, highlighting how precious each ingredient is.

People will then formulate and name their own fragrance to take home. This will be a 10ml perfume at the highest concentration in a glass spray bottle.
