There is no café on site but there are a good range of places to eat, or have a picnic in Morpeth Town Centre.
The Tourist Information Centre and the Craft Centre on the ground floor of the Chantry have a gift shop. The shop sells traditional bagpipe music CDs, books and gifts. You can also visit our online shop.
There is a standard accessible toilet. Keys for the toilets can be requested from a member of the Chantry staff on the ground floor.
There is no separate baby changing facility.
The nearest Changing Places toilet is Morpeth Leisure Centre, a three minute walk from the museum.
The museum can be accessed by a wheelchair accessible lift to the first floor, next to the staircase. Press the button to open the door, and once inside, continuously hold down the button to raise the lift. A noise will sound when you have reached the first floor.
Breastfeeding is welcomed throughout the site.
If you're using a sat nav you can use the postcode NE61 1YD for Castle Square car park, a three minute walk to the Chantry.

There is no on-site car park.
The nearest car park is Castle Square, a three minute walk to the Chantry. You can park there for up to three hours with a parking disc, but parking is limited.
Parking discs are available from libraries, the Tourist Information Centre, local businesses and some car parks have a disc dispenser.
Parking discs cost £1.
If required, we do allow drop off and pick up closer to the museum entrance for visitors with mobility needs. This must be arranged in advance by telephoning (01670) 624490 or by emailing info@morpethbagpipemuseum.org.uk
Arriva operates a range of bus services from Newcastle Haymarket Bus Station to Morpeth Bus Station which takes approximately 30 minutes.

It is a nine minute walk from Morpeth Train Station and a five minute walk from Morpeth Bus Station to the Chantry.
Mainline rail connections to Newcastle upon Tyne arrive at Newcastle Central Station. Morpeth Train Station is operated by Northern.
