About

Step into the Shadows at our Halloween Great North Night.

For one night only, the museum transforms into a spine-tingling spectacle of the strange and supernatural. Dress to distress in your boldest, most bizarre Halloween attire and prepare to explore a labyrinth of eerie delights and macabre marvels.

Sip on devilishly delicious cocktails at the bar, catch a snippet of Ghostbusters before plunging into a night packed with chilling encounters. Snap a spooky selfie at our bone chilling photo station and enter the costume competition—if you dare.

Venture into the ghostly depths of the haunted metro train, conjured by the brilliant minds at Moving Parts Arts. Witness horror prosthetic artist Patrycja Nowacka (whose credits include 28 Years Later) as she brings a severed human arm gruesomely to life before your very eyes.

From creepy crafts to haunting performances, this is your chance to experience the museum like never before—where every corner hides a fright and every moment is steeped in Halloween magic. All this and much more awaits to make your Halloween a brilliantly bewitching evening to remember...

...or perhaps a delightfully disturbing one.
