About

Discover the story of South Tyneside's Jennie Shearan and her extraordinary local community campaign for environmental justice.

Join archivists from Tyne & Wear Archives for a special event highlighting the archive of Jennie Shearan - which is now in the care of Tyne & Wear Archives - and her tireless fight over decades for clean air for the people of Hebburn in South Tyneside.

This will be followed by a behind-the-scenes tour of the archive stores.
