About

Hatton Gallery and Tyneside Cinema co-present a film screening and 60s party

To understand the cultural impact of pop star Steve Shorter, you must first accept John Lennon was telling the truth when he said that The Beatles were bigger than Jesus. Then, you have to imagine something bigger than The Beatles.

Unbeknownst to his adoring fans, though, Steve is being controlled by Britain’s morally-bankrupt coalition government in order to manipulate the country’s young people.

Starring Paul Jones and iconic supermodel Jean Shrimpton, this is truly seminal ‘60s viewing introduced by media historian Chris Phipps. Afterwards, enjoy some of the best sounds of the decade ‘til late in the Tyneside’s café bar.
