1.30pm - 2pm - Behind the scenes visit to *Tyne & Wear Archives. (This is optional for attendees). 

Talk is in the Carpathia Room, ground floor.

Join us for a special celebration of one of Tyne & Wear Archive’s latest acquisitions, the Jennie Shearan Archive.

For our latest lunchtime talk, we are delighted to welcome Gianfranco Rosolia, Jennie’s grandson and author of the book CLEAN AIR.

Gianfranco will talk about the fascinating life of Jennie Shearan, her tireless fight over decades for clean air for the people of Hebburn in South Tyneside, and an extraordinary local community campaign for environmental justice.

For those who wish to stay a little longer, the talk will be followed by a behind-the-scenes visit to the Archives and a display of some of the documents from the Jennie Shearan Archive.
