Miniature Light Railway

The 7¼" miniature railway connects the museum to Engine House Halt. Board the miniature railway on selected running days, near the museum entrance. 

Created by dedicated volunteers from the North Tyneside Steam Railway Association between late 2024 and early 2025, the miniature railway is a testament to their hard work and passion for preserving railway heritage.

Climb aboard and ride behind one of three fantastic locomotives, including the steam-powered ‘Loki’ and the classic petrol locomotive ‘Kibworth Castle’.

Train rides just £1 - a perfect treat for railway fans of all ages.
