About

Visitors are invited to enjoy free Wellness Weekends at South Shields Museum & Art Gallery, designed to encourage mindfulness and relaxation through art, to celebrate the arrival of Monet’s The Petit Bras of the Seine at Argenteuil (1872), as part of the National Gallery’s Masterpiece Tour.

In this special session, visitors can take part in a 30-minute Qi Gong class led by a professional instructor, held in front of Monet’s iconic artwork - creating a calming and immersive start to the morning that blends movement with mindfulness.

Qi gong is a Chinese practice involving coordinated movement, breathing, and meditation that aims to improve physical and mental health.
