About

Stories From Shields is a new exhibition celebrating the town’s people, places, and food heritage through short films, storytelling, a beautifully designed postcard collection, and the launch of a brand-new food and drink heritage trail.

Together, they tell a story of community, heritage, belonging and local pride - all shaped by the people who know South Shields best.

Drop in, explore the stories, and discover a new way to experience South Shields.
