About
Be inspired by the beautiful shells, pearls and embellishments in Pierre Mignard’s painting, The Marquise de Seignelay. You’ll learn how to create your own 3D beaded shell, experimenting with beads, texture and form to make a unique decorative piece to take home.
In this fun, hands-on workshop, younger children can thread beads onto pipe cleaners to create colourful 3D shell-inspired designs, while older children can experiment with stitch work to create more intricate shapes and patterns.
With activities suitable for all ages and abilities, there’s plenty of opportunity to get creative, explore different materials and discover how simple beads can be transformed into something completely unique.
About Emma Hardy Embroidery:
This workshop is led by Emma Hardy, an embroidery specialist and textile artist with a passion for beads, embellishment and making by hand. Emma has a BA (Hons) in Textile Design, specialising in Embroidery, and is continuing her specialist training with the Royal School of Needlework Certificate and Hand & Lock Diploma.
