About the event

This weekend, we're celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Hadrian's Wall Path National Trail. Over two days, there'll be demonstrations by re-enactors of gladiators - including at least one on a horse - and a whole host of sports such as archery and javelin throwing. Lots of fun and games guaranteed for the whole family!

Some of the day's events:

11.00 – 11.30am: Horses on parade to greet the public on entry (meet the horses/photo opportunities)

12.00 – 12.30pm: Roman Games including horseback games

1.00 – 1.30pm: Tales from the Wall with Mungo the Magnificent

2.00 - 2.30pm: Roman Games including gladiators

Look out for the colourful bunting around our fort site which has been specially created for the anniversary of the National Trail.
