About
Watch in wonder as spectacular fireworks light up the night sky over the River Tyne where Swan Hunter used to launch its ships.
Entry to the museum is free after 5pm so do explore the museum exhibits before choosing the best spot to watch the display at 6.30pm.
To ensure everyone’s safety and comply with fire regulations, we may need to limit the number of visitors inside the museum at any one time. This could result in a short wait to gain entry. Additional toilet facilities will be available in the car park for your convenience.
This year’s event will feature dazzling street entertainment, including a fire performer, glowing LED Hula Hoop fun, and magical Living Lampposts to light up the night from 5–6.30pm.
There'll be a selection of coffee vans on-site selling refreshments.
Please note that Buddle Street, which runs alongside the fort site, will be closed between 5.30pm and 7.30pm to protect pedestrians attending the event.
We're sorry, but dogs won't be permitted on site during the event, and visitors arriving with dogs will be refused entry.
