About

Exhibitions Officer at Laing Art Gallery, Amy Pargeter, will give insight into how the exhibition Exploring Identity was curated in response to the Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer Portrait Award 2025 exhibition, organised by the National Portrait Gallery, London.

This sit-down talk about Laing Art Gallery's portraiture exhibitions (28 March-5 September 2026) will introduce key themes and paintings, and give insight into how the exhibitions were brought together.

The talk will last for around 45 minutes, then there will be some time for questions.

Please note that if you would like to visit the exhibition before or after the talk, you will need to purchase an exhibition ticket on site.

If you can, please consider purchasing a donation ticket or leaving a donation when you book today. We rely on the generosity of our visitors to help us keep art and heritage at the heart of the North East. Thank you.
