New archives workshops for secondary schools
We’re excited to be able to offer a range of new FREE history workshops for secondary schools, delivered in partnership with The National Archives.
Workshops for Key Stages 3-5 are available on a range of topics including the Suffragettes, Crime and Punishment, the Industrial Revolution and the First World War. Sessions can be delivered on-site at the Discovery Museum, in-school or online.
About
Students will be able to get ‘hands on with history’, exploring original documents from Tyne and Wear Archives and material from The National Archives.
A limited number of visit bursaries are available for eligible schools to support costs associated with a visit to the Discovery Museum for an on-site session.
Bookings for our summer term workshops and applications for visit bursaries open at 9am on Monday 26th January. You’ll be able to browse the workshops on offer and access all the information you need by visiting: The National Archives and North East Museums Partnership - The National Archives
In the meantime, if you have any questions, please contact: educationbookingsne@nationalarchives.gov.uk
