From steam turbines to incandescent light bulbs, join us on a tour to learn about five great inventors; George Stephenson, Robert Stephenson, William Armstrong, Charles Parsons and Joseph Swan; who lived and worked in the Northeast during the Victorian times.

Delve deeper into William Armstrong's invention the hydraulic crane with a hands-on practical workshop. Investigate forces and how a small force can be used to have a greater effort. This will include the opportunity for students to make a hydraulic pop-up card
