This conference is hosted by the Northumbria University and North East Museums partnership, as part of Black History Month. 

It explores a diverse range of research on the Indian diaspora. A key focus of the conference is on histories, genealogies, and legacies of Indian indentureship.

Keynote speaker: Shamshu Deen (prominent Indo-Trinidadian historian and genealogist).
