Ticket price includes a hot chocolate, festive crafts and a gift from Santa.

Every person needs a ticket, children and adults. Babies are free, but will not receive a gift from Santa.

Our Relaxed Sessions offer a calm and welcoming environment for visitors with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), their families, and carers with a reduced capacity to ensure a comfortable experience.

Ho Ho Howay! We’re making a new Christmas tradition at Discovery Museum. Step into a Geordie winter wonderland at the Canny Christmas Grotto. From twinkling lights to the warmest welcome this side of the Tyne, families can enjoy a magical meet-and-greet with Santa and his black and white elves, who’ve swapped the North Pole for the North East! Expect festive crafts, local treats, and a sprinkle of Geordie charm. 

Only ticket holders will be admitted. If you haven’t purchased a ticket, unfortunately, you won’t be able to accompany a child into the experience.
