About

As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, join watercolour artist Nici Christina (Skyeblomma) for a gentle, reflective workshop exploring wellbeing through painting.

In this three-hour workshop, you’ll create a watercolour painting of the Flower of Life, an ancient symbol found across cultures and throughout history. Formed from repeating, interlocking circles, the Flower of Life is part of Sacred Geometry, a visual language that reflects harmony, balance, and the patterns found in nature and the universe.

Nici will begin with a guided tutorial and technique demonstration, before leading you into the painting process. Working with repetition, symmetry, and flowing watercolour washes, you’ll be encouraged to paint at a slow, mindful pace. This meditative approach can help calm the mind, build focus, and create space for reflection, making the practice as nourishing as the finished artwork.

No previous experience is needed. This beginner-friendly workshop focuses on both creative wellbeing and developing practical watercolour skills - techniques you can continue using as a mindful painting practice long after the class ends. You’ll leave with your completed Flower of Life painting and a renewed sense of calm and creativity.
