About

Create a silk shaded flower in this embroidery workshop led by artist Louise Goult.

Silk shading - or painting with threads - is a hand embroidery technique. It combines threads, blending them together with short and long stitches to create beautiful effects.

During this workshop you will create your own silk shaded flower - using your own design or one provided. You'll transfer the design to your choice of fabric (no drawing confidence needed), and learn a range of silk shading embroidery stitches to bring your flower to life.

Suitable for age 16+. For beginners and those with some embroidery experience.
