About

Back for October half term, join us at the gallery for fun and creative activities inspired by the paintings, textiles, ceramic and glass artworks on display.

Tuesday 25 October: Big Bold Flowers

Explore the still life exhibition then have a go at making your own largescale floral artwork, and a 3D flower sculpture.

We're going big and bold in this workshop, with scissors, glue, and loads of colourful paper! Create layers of paper shapes and play around with composition to create a unique floral design. You'll create a big flower poster to take home, inspired by the artworks on display.

You'll also make a 3D flower sculpture using paper and cardboard, which can be displayed in a vase at home.

Thursday 27 October: Spooky Silhouettes

Make your own spooky silhouette picture for Hallowe'en, using card, pastels and paint sticks. Take inspiration from the autumn landscape paintings and curiosities on display and create your own unique artwork. Also, make a Hallowe'en lantern to bring some vibrant festivity to the dark nights.
