Get creative with paper in this spring flower themed workshop. Make a vase of daffodils and a flower wand to take home. Be inspired by our paintings of floral still life arrangements and natural landscapes.

Tuesday 11 April: Spring Sketchbook Challenge!

Artists often sketch while they're out and about, and this is your chance to have a go! You'll be provided with a sketchbook which is yours to keep. We'll also have a range of exciting drawing prompt cards available - pick one up and try out its suggestion for drawing in the gallery. 

The card might invite you to try drawing in an unusual way; or encourage you to look closely at the artwork and sketch something in response. Perhaps you'll try some of our active drawing prompts, like spinning in a circle and drawing your view when you stop; or getting down on the gallery floor and drawing from an unusual angle. At the end of this workshop, take your sketchbook home and continue drawing wherever you go!

In this workshop you'll be moving around the gallery rather than sitting at a table. Lightweight folding stools, cushions and padded mats can be provided. If you need us to make any adaptations please contact Hannah.Mackay-Jackson@twmuseums.org.uk

Our friendly artists will be moving around the gallery offering support and encouragement as you draw.

Thursday 13 April: Plant Pots and Bracelets

Decorate a ceramic plant pot which you can take home and plant spring flowers in. 

Also, make a decorative bracelet or wristband.
There are plenty of colourful, patterned artworks on display to inspire your designs.
