About

'Make and Muse' is a chance for young people aged 13–16 to explore art in depth, combining discussion and hands-on making in the gallery itself.

Each 2-hour session begins with a talk led by one of the Laing’s expert learning facilitators, who will explore a particular artwork, artist, or theme currently on display. The tour encourages close looking and conversation, offering insight into the ideas behind the work and the context in which it was made.

After the tour, experiment creatively and reflect on the works around you with an art making activity in the gallery space.
